Dahnesh Medora

Managing Director, Care Oregon Foundation
Founding member of the Bull Run Center

Dahnesh Medora is the Managing Director of the CareOregon Foundation, a new organization dedicated to advancing health equity and improving the health of communities experiencing disparities across Oregon. In this role, he leads strategy and partnerships to address the root causes of inequity and support community-driven solutions.

With more than 20 years of leadership experience, Dahnesh has built and managed initiatives that strengthen social, economic, and political power in communities of color. As Chief Impact Officer at United Way of the Columbia-Willamette, he oversaw core program areas, acted as lead impact strategist, and supported the development and implementation of the organization’s strategic plan. As Building Community Portfolio Director at the Meyer Memorial Trust, he helped create and lead one of the Trust’s largest grantmaking programs, directing more than $30 million over six years to Oregon-based nonprofits. His career also includes roles at Education Northwest, the Nonprofit Association of Oregon, the National Community Development Institute, and the Tides Foundation, where he provided capacity-building support to nonprofits and cross-sector collaborations at the federal, state, and local levels.

Passionate about working across cultures and advancing racial equity, Dahnesh is equally proud of his most important role outside of work—spending time with his daughter, who is still young enough to think he is hilarious.
