Vibrant Communities
The Vibrant Communities Fund directs timely support to strengthen democracy, increase community agency, and forge unity in a pluralistic society.
We are proud to support local leaders who build community capacity for dialogue across differences, deepen long-term organizing power, drive voter turnout and participation, and provide election protection and support for absentee voters. We vet and select organizations with a track record of effective and innovative work.
The Vibrant Communities Fund invests in communities where local leadership builds sustained movements for empowerment and change.
Since 2015 we have moved more than $1.3M to support effective civic engagement all over the country in partnership with donors like you who give $50, $5000, and $50,000 to fuel this work!
You can join us. When you contribute to the Vibrant Communities Fund, every dollar goes to organizations. We do not take any administrative fee or service charge.

Heartland Fund
We continue to provide direct general operating support to organizations supporting civic engagement, voter education, and long term organizing. This year we have selected eight organizations in rural communities that have an excellent track record of connecting communities.
You can join us in supporting these groups with a donation to North Star Civic Foundation - Vibrant Communities Fund. 100% of your donation will be split among these groups.
